About the Author:

Leala Abbott helps clients tackle their Digital Resource Management concerns by recommending and/or aiding the development of appropriate software (DAM/CMS), resource description (metadata), usability and user experience (UX), internal standards (taxonomies and best practices), business change, and workflow refinement.

She has been working in and around technology since the Internet was discovered; or possibly 1996 when she built her first HTML website using [Macromedia] Dreamweaver. She holds her Masters in Library and Information Science, also known as a “license to classify” from Rutgers University.

Leala revels in enlightening interested parties in both 2D (written), and 3D (spoken) formats on relevant and compelling topics such as, digital asset management, social media privacy, usability, and perhaps most importantly, how to maintain and staff these “mysterious” information systems to facilitate successful outcomes.

She spends an awful lot of time drinking coffee and having existential dilemmas while writing about herself in the third person.
